The holidays are quickly approaching, and the aroma of turkey and stuffing will be calling our names. Besides delicious food and football, let’s really take time to actually visit with family or friends this thanksgiving. Surround yourselves with the people you love and you will have a wonderful memory in return.

Holiday Remembrance Event

We will be hosting our annual Holiday Remembrance Event on Saturday December 1, 2018. 4:00 P.M.

at Hitzeman Funeral Home.

It will be a joyous event with music, stories and a special token of our sincere gratitude. We will provide Hot Chocolate and as a group will attend the Festivities at the Brookfield Holiday event where we will witnesses the tree lighting and partake in the ringing in of the season. Come into see our Memorial Tree.

Chuck Hitzeman has a special connection with Santa this year!

Holidays can be the most difficult time of the year for someone who has experienced the death of a close family member or friend. Our Holiday Remembrance Event is intended to help those cope with the grief they may face during the holiday season. Please R.S.V.P. by Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Holiday Magic

37^th Annual Holiday Magic at Brookfield Zoo. Our sponsored trees help the Brookfield Zoo and gives our local Girl Scout Troop and Boy Scout troop a chance to be creative and decorate the trees with over 300 handmade ornaments.

Check them out, they are on display from November 19, 2018

Holiday Cocktail Recipe

Carmel Apple Mimosa (not for kids…drink responsibly)

Yes…there is such a drink..what a nice way to cap off your thanksgiving evening or get it started. For an extra touch, rim the glasses in caramel and cinnamon sugar.

2 tbsp. caramel

2 tbsp. cinnamon sugar

1 cup of apple cider

8 oz. caramel vodka

1 750-ml bottle of your favorite bubbly

Apple slices, for garnish

Pour caramel into a small dish. Pour cinnamon sugar into another small dish. Dip champagne flutes into caramel to rim glass, then dip in cinnamon sugar until coated. Pour 1/4 cup apple cider and 2 ounces caramel vodka into each flute and top with the bubbly. Garnish with an apple slice….cheers!
