Want a great way to start the Holidays!

Adult Actors with Special Needs is performing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 and on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Lyons Township North Campus – Reber Center, 100 South Brainard Avenue, LaGrange, IL 60525. Performances start at 2:00 P.M.

Fun for the whole family…This feel good story will have you singing and put you in the spirit of the season! These actors are brave and unstoppable; they have risen to new heights despite physical, cognitive and social challenges. Many of you know Donna from our office, she has once again designed and built the scenery for this years performance.

Our family has attended every year since we were introduced to the program. You will laugh, perhaps shed a tear, tap your toes and truly enjoy the performance.

If you want an entertaining, feel-good, fun experience while supporting the community, please check this out. Tickets are $10 / Children 5 and under $5.00, tickets available at the door.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us as we kick off the holiday season with the Village's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5! Gather with friends and neighbors for an evening of caroling, hot chocolate, and plenty of holiday cheer at this free, family-friendly event.

You will find a tree sponsored by Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd.. We have decorated the tree with a special poem for those who would like to take it in remembrance of a loved one that may have passed. Hang it from your Christmas tree at home, use as a bookmark or give it to a special someone. On the reverse side, you will find a special offer to take advantage of after the holidays.

If you can't make it there, you may stop by the Funeral Home to pick one up, please give us a call at 708-485-2000.

Brookfield Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting

The Village of Brookfield, in partnership with the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, has announced its 2025 Holiday Celebration will take place on Saturday, December 6. The event is scheduled from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and will be held throughout the Downtown and Broadway Avenue Business Districts, including Village Hall and Grossdale Station.

The celebration features a variety of activities for families and community members. Highlights include a Kris Kringle Market at Village Hall, visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Irish Times from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., a petting zoo, live woodcarving demonstrations, balloon twisting, character meet-and-greets, giant snow globe photo opportunities, family crafts and games. Free courtesy trolleys will be available for attendees.

The festivities will conclude with a community tree lighting ceremony at Grossdale Station at 5:30 p.m.

Hitzeman Funeral Home is once again sponsoring the Live Woodcarving event. Last year a 4-foot Nutcracker emerged from a single log. The crowd was mesmerized while the woodcarver wheeled the chainsaws for several hours. Last Year’s Nutcracker will be displayed at Hitzeman this Holiday Season.

38^th Annual Holiday Magic at

Brookfield Zoo

Sponsored trees help the Brookfield Zoo and gives local Girl Scout Troop and Boy Scout troops a chance to be creative and decorate the trees with over 300 handmade ornaments. We’re lighting up the night this holiday season! Returning with a brand-new light display, celebrate more than 40 years of Holiday Magic.

Now with more than 3.5 million lights, this spectacular interactive display transforms the Zoo into a dazzling winter wonderland. Stroll through themed areas featuring giant holiday displays, a maze, tunnels, and animal-themed lights.

Check them out, they are on display from November 21, 2025 though the end of December.

Although the weather has been mild, any new orders for markers, headstones or inscriptions, can be submitted, however, those orders will be fulfilled in the Spring. A back log has started, get your order in before Spring.
