Tribute Tree

As we begin to decorate outside at Hitzeman Funeral Home, inside you will find a special decorated a tree in our foyer.  We respect and honor those that we have served this year and have placed a ribbon on a Christmas tree in our foyer.  

We are hoping that this Holiday Season is bright and full of love and support from family and friends you hold dear.  

Please feel free to come in and take your loved ones ribbon for your own tree.

Hitzeman Funeral Home

At Memorial Park in LaGrange Park, you will find a tree sponsored by Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd..  We have decorated the tree with a special poem for those who would like to  take with you in remembrance of a loved one that may have passed. Hang it from your Christmas tree at home, use as a bookmark or give it to a special someone.  

If you can't make it there, you may stop by the Funeral Home to pick one up, please give us a call at 708-485-2000.

LaGrange Park Tree Lighting

The Village's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place Friday, December 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Park. The celebration will include performances, refreshments, and other festivities. Residents are invited to bring the whole family to this free event and enjoy hot chocolate, caroling, live music, and lots of holiday cheer...hope to see you there!

2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. 

near Grossdale Train Station

Visit the Kris Kringle Market and Grossdale Station, get photos with Santa at Irish Times, hop on the trolley to experience loads of family friendly activities in the Downtown and Broadway Avenue business districts and cap the day off with the tree lighting at Grossdale Station.

Festivities start at 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2024

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

The Village of La Grange Park made Santa's Nice List again this year! Santa may be super busy preparing for the big day but he decided to pay us a visit for the Village's Santa Parade on December 15 starting at 4:30 p.m. He can't get to every street in the Village, so please click on the Santa Parade Map below to find out where you can catch a glimpse of him!

This festive parade will travel throughout the Village and collect donations for local food pantries (Westchester Food Pantry, Share Food Share Love, BEDS Plus and St. Barbara's) along the way. To help keep the parade moving, please place your donations in the boxes designated as Recommended Food Collection Points on the corners (see map). Don't see the boxes? No problem - Santa will also have helpers along the route to gather donations.
